September 1, 2005 SwanPro Amps today announced the much anticipated roll-out of their higher powered RCS 40 electric guitar amplifier. The all new amp doubles the output wattage over it's highly acclaimed RCS 20 model amp that went into production early in 2005 making it a full 40 watts of Class "A" tube amp output.
Available as a head or combo (1x12 or 2x12) the newest addition to the SwanPro custom amp Recording Club Series lineup is expected to get the same level of positive reaction from both pro and upcoming electric guitar players. The introduction of the new RCS 40 amp is in response to players who said they wanted to use their SwanPro amps in situations where more volume is needed, such as for club dates in larger rooms. The RCS 20 is perfect for smaller rooms according to Bob and a number of working players who have and use the RCS 20 amp.
Bob Swanson, SwanPro Amps owner and designer says: "Players like Joe Bonamassa have told me that they love our RCS 20 amp and wanted to use the great sound they get from our RCS 20 on stage when they're not using the amp for studio recording sessions."
Bob continued by saying:
"I had been thinking about building a more powerful amp with the same great tube amp tone of the RCS 20 in a beefier package. The the RCS 40 is what we wanted."
